The story of life in Gairloch parish since the Cold War bunker, now home to the Museum, was built in the early 1950s can be watched on continuous loop in our small film theatre.

Professional film maker, John English, born in the Highlands, visited and interviewed many people who have lived here all their lives. He collected their memories and their photographs to compile a fascinating collage to illustrate how housing, crofting and fishing, school days, transport, the use of Gaelic and the landscape has changed over the past 70 years.
