Working mainly in pastel on paper or card, Sarah has taken inspiration for her exhibition from the views she sees daily from her home as well as still life studies of homegrown flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Alison Dunlop has created a beautiful book of artwork, photography and poetry celebrating the Shiant Isles. Available from our museum shop from July 3 or you can pre-order your copy now for £25 (if posting is required, p&p £4).
Books
We have an extensive range of books with emphasis on local, Highland and Scottish interest.
As well as the essential guide to the Gairloch area first published by John Dixon in 1886, these include the works of many authors including James Hunter, Adam Nicholson, Donald S Murray, Roger Hutchinson, James Robertson, Ian Stephen, Robert MacFarlane, Tom Devine and Margaret Bennett. Gaelic books and dictionaries also feature strongly. We have a good selection of local guide books and leaflets, including for car touring and walking.
There is also a wide selection of children's books.

A selection of bags and purses from Red Ruby Rose. Each piece is designed and hand made by Rowena in her Gairloch workshop.
